Worship Moments October 7th

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all keeping well.

Today I wanted to share some thoughts I have been having recently regarding the change of season we are having.

Along with the crisp autumn leaves underfoot, the vibrancy of creation blazing red and pumpkins aplenty, you have probably noticed the air is cooling. You may have dug out a warmer coat or sweater. Maybe changed the shoes you are wearing as with the changing conditions.

Our beautiful, surprising world, has just kept on changing this year and perhaps the change of season is something that can remind us of a sense of normality! I'm sure that for all of us, we have had to change, adapt, rejig ourselves and things this year. And whilst I was thinking about that the words of an old hymn came to me.

Throughout seasons both literal and metaphorical, Jesus remains a constant unchanged by any earthly events. Unchanged by the weather, darker nights or the dark night of the soul. He's there. Always caring. Always loving. And as this old hymn says, " the things of earth will grow strangely dim. In the light of His glory and grace."

I hope you enjoy Jesus' gentle reassurance this morning.

Blessings,

Natalie

Turn your eyes upon Jesus Look full in His wonderful face And the things of earth will grow strangely dim In the light of His glory and grace

Oh soul are you weary and troubled?

No light in the darkness you see? There's light for a look at the Savior And life more abundant and free

Through death into life everlasting He passed and we follow Him there

O'er us sin no more hath dominion For more than conquerors we are

Oh, turn your eyes upon Jesus Look full in His wonderful face And the things of earth will grow strangely dim In the light of His glory and grace

His word shall not fail you, He promised Believe Him and all will be well Then go to a world that is dying His perfect salvation to tell

Oh, turn your eyes upon Jesus Look full in His wonderful face Oh, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim In the light of His glory and grace
