Worship Moments July 31st

Dear Friends,

Hello from England, it's not raining for once!!

I have been back in England for a couple of days nows, and after an intense period of separation, it does feel great to be with family again. I wonder if you have had a moment like that? What was it like when you first saw family or close friends after a period of detachment? Perhaps you are still waiting in that period, I know just how hard that is, so I pray you will be comforted by your Heavenly Father in the waiting.

I think many if not all, find ourselves waiting during this period of time. Waiting for a vaccine, waiting for reunions, waiting for a sense of 'normal' to return.

Perhaps this scripture will also be comforting to those who feel like they are waiting in this season:

But they who wait for the LORD

shall renew their strength;

they shall mount up with wings like eagles

they shall run and not be weary

they shall walk and not faint

Isaiah 40:31

The Bible is full of people who waited, all for different reasons, waited for God's promises of a breakthrough.

Joseph waited 15 years.

Abraham and Sarah waited 25 years.

Moses waited 40 years.

Elizabeth waited at least 60 years.

Jesus waited 30 years.

I don't believe we will have to wait that long, but I think there is some comfort in knowing that we aren't the only ones who were waiting on God.

So this morning, it is my prayer, that you will be comforted in your waiting, that God will reassure you in times of stress of boredom, and that you will never loose sight of the God of love and grace who looks out for us all.

Blessings,

Natalie
