Worship Moments July 3

Good Morning Folks!

I hope you are keeping happy and healthy in this warm weather.

This morning I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the successes of our children and young people.

Around Barrie, where I live, there are "Class of 2020" graduation signs in people's front yards. There is a photo of one below. I hope this is happening in your area to, to honour our graduates for their hard work, despite not being able to celebrate as they normal would be able to.

If their is a graduate in your family, we at Trinity want to congratulate and celebrate with you, despite our current physical distance. And if your child is not graduating this year, we want to encourage and stand by them, as they have dealt with all the adaptations and stresses that this school year has brought.

Trinity's children and young people, congratulations for your hard work and determination to finish the school year!

Would you join me in praying for our children and young people:

Dear God,

At the end of this strange school year, we want to thank you for all of our Graduates.

Thank you for their hard work and determination to finish school well despite the challenges.

We pray that during a very troubling time, you would lead and guide our children and young people into bigger and better things. We pray for peace and protection as they work out their next steps, whether that be a new school, a new college/university and a new job. We ask that you comfort them in their disappointments of lost graduations and celebrations. Bless them in their journey.

And for all of our children who are returning to school in September (God willing), we ask that you comfort them in the disappointments of lost time with friends and teachers. And help them rest well over the summer, preparing them for a new way of school in September.

For all of these things, and the prayers in our heart, we lift them to you God!

The Lord bless you

and keep you;

The Lord make his face shine on you

and be gracious to you;

The Lord turn his face toward you

and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)

Amen
