Living Waters Presbytery invites all its congregations to meet at Camp Big Canoe on Saturday Sept. 22nd from 11am-5pm to celebrate its nine years of ministry and mission. In gratitude for the many years of support from both the presbytery, the congregations and the UCW, the folks at Camp Big Canoe are providing free food: hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled pork, or sausage will be served on a bun, and other foods supplied too. The beach will be open for swimming and canoeing from 2pm to 4pm. There will be a worship service at 4pm and the text will be from John’s Gospel where Jesus says to the woman, “…the gift of God….living water…(4:10).” (This passage is the source of the name of the presbytery, Living Waters Presbytery.) In addition, the congregations have been asked to showcase their ministries on a display panel and contribute games and activities for the “midway.” Today, the Sunday School will have a practice-run on a Word Search game that has been prepared. A prize will be given for completing the activity. (Does anyone have a button-making machine that could be loaned to the planning group?) Camp Big Canoe is located at 1012 Sherwood Forest Road, Bracebridge. For more information please see Ross Carson at coffee time.

At 7:30 on Saturday, October 13th, Baritone Johnathon Kirby and Soprano Lisa Faieta will join Vlad for a recital of opera classics and art songs. They're both ridiculously good and it'll be a ton of fun! Please contact a choir member or the office for tickets! Vlad will also be all in your face about it for the next month if you have any questions.

Volunteers are still needed to serve at Coffee Time for the remainder of the year! If your group or family would like to serve at Coffee Time, please contact the office. All supplies are provided. Your gift of time would be greatly appreciated!
